Sanctuary Single Malt Whisky

New Release Series

THE BRIEF

Sanctuary came to me with a series of new releases and needed one visual language that would hold across all of them. The images had to carry a web store, a social feed, and digital campaigns without looking like separate shoots.

THE APPROACH

Product-forward lighting to hero each bottle, earthy tones to match the brand's warmer character, and a subtle Vancouver Island influence pulled from local textures rather than laid on top of the product. Each expression is paired with a cocktail built specifically for it, so the range reads as a set rather than a lineup.

Wood Spirit Co

Spirits Range

THE DIRECTION

Wood Spirit came in with the look already settled: minimal and clean, with a single pop of colour drawn from the spirit itself.

THE EXECUTION

I brought white blocks in so I could shift the height of every element in frame and keep the compositions moving without losing the simplicity. The bottles sat on white, with the backdrop colour matched to each liqueur. That held the range together while letting each bottle stand on its own.

Sons of Vancouver Distillery

Ongoing Product and Social

THE RELATIONSHIP

Sons of Vancouver is an ongoing partnership rather than a single shoot. It covers all of their product photography, the social content across both accounts, and the ad creative for their Wheated Rye.

THE WORK

Small whisky distilleries move quickly. Once bottles are labelled the product needs to sell, so the photography is built around that: clean, consistent set-ups that turn around inside a release window, and a feed that keeps showing up between launches.

WHERE IT RUNS

The photography runs across the Shopify store, both Instagram accounts, Facebook, and paid ads. The same library carries the mailing list and whatever the distillery needs on short notice, which is usually the point.
